Aurelio Cabrera Abraham, a former Venezuelan military officer known for his relationship with Hugo Armando Carvajal, has been arrested in Qatar due to an arrest warrant issued by a court of the Audiencia Nacional for extradition purposes. The police in Qatar arrested him on 9th December, in compliance with an international arrest warrant issued by the Central Instruction Court 6 of the Audiencia Nacional, which is investigating him for a money laundering scheme and two operations aimed at diverting funds from the state-owned company Petróleos de Venezuela.
