Cainite struggles emerge in Vox at its peak electoral moment.

Internal tensions within Vox have begun to resurface following the confrontation between Santiago Abascal and Javier Ortega Smith. Both have entered into an internal struggle just as Vox is at an electoral juncture, buoyed by results in Extremadura, Aragón, and Castilla y León, where they have garnered nearly 19% support from voters. Abascal seeks to maintain his dominance, while Ortega Smith attempts to reverse what he sees as a shift in the organisation. Stripped of public office, he has begun to criticise the leadership. Other historical leaders, led by Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, have joined his call and are organising themselves. Through a manifesto, they have requested an extraordinary congress, a demand that the party leadership does not accept and considers to be a dispute instigated by the PP to destabilise Vox. The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has rejected this assertion.
