Madrid (EFE) – Today, Castile and León, Extremadura and Galicia are under a yellow alert for fog, while Catalonia is on alert for maritime phenomena, according to the website of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). In Catalonia, yellow alerts have been issued for coastal phenomena in the Ampurdan-Girona area, effective from 18:00 until 23:59 tonight, with north winds of force 7 and waves measuring between 2 and 3 metres. In Castile and León, a yellow alert has been issued for fog reducing visibility to 100 metres, in effect until 11:59 in the plateaus of Ávila, Palencia, Salamanca, Valladolid and Zamora. In Extremadura, a fog alert has been issued reducing visibility to 200 metres until 10:59 in the Guadiana-Badajoz, Tagus and Alagón-Cáceres valleys, as well as in the plateau of Cáceres. Aemet has issued a yellow warning for fog in Galicia, where visibility is at 200 metres, valid until 23:59 in the central area of the province of Lugo.
