China calls on the USA for the immediate release of Maduro and demands a negotiated solution.

Beijing (EFE).- This Sunday, China expressed its concern over the detention of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, by the United States. Furthermore, it requested their release and advocated for the crisis to be resolved through dialogue and negotiation, according to a statement from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Beijing expressed its concern over the fact that Washington has taken the leader and his wife, removing them from the country. According to the spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the actions of the United States violate international law and the norms governing international relations, in addition to contradicting the goals and principles established in the United Nations Charter. The announcement noted that these actions affect the sovereignty of Venezuela.
