Beijing.- On Monday, China expressed its concern over the detention of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife by the United States. It demanded their release and accused Washington of violating international law and the principles established in the United Nations Charter. The Beijing government stated that it was shocked by the military attacks of the United States against Venezuela and condemned what it described as a use of force that transgresses international law and endangers peace in Latin America and the Caribbean.
