The municipal hall of Adamuz has been the venue for the funeral organised by the Diocese of Córdoba in memory of the victims of the train accident that occurred last Sunday, an event that brought together representatives from various areas of the province. The event was led by the Bishop of Córdoba, Jesús Fernández, and attended by around twenty priests, alongside political representatives, family members of the victims, and local residents who have offered their support since learning of the accident. The ceremony began with words from the mayor of the town, Rafael Ángel Moreno. He expressed that the community feels «with a wounded heart» after the tragedy. Moreno, who was involved in assisting the injured since learning of the accident, admitted that that night, «we turned to our patron saint in search of strength and calm to help the passengers» of the affected trains. And today, a week later, «Adamuz directs its gaze towards her to ask for her intercession, hoping that she will provide us with comfort and hope.»
