Delcy Rodríguez, facing the challenge of keeping chavismo united under the shadow of the U.S.

Caracas. Three days after the military action by the United States to capture Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, chavismo has united in support of Venezuela’s interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, who stated that there is no external agent directing the country. Rodríguez, who assumed the position due to an order from the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice, faces the challenge of maintaining the cohesion of chavismo in its stance towards Washington, while Donald Trump has requested that she comply with his demands, warning that she will face a higher cost than Maduro did. Rodríguez asserted that the Government of Venezuela is the one leading the nation, and no external entity has control over Venezuela. She also expressed that she has matured to face the challenges, aggressions, and threats. She added that to those who threaten her, she says that their future is in God’s hands.
