Caracas (EFE).- The Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, received the former President of the Spanish Government, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, at the Miraflores Palace. This visit took place following an invitation from the programme for democratic coexistence and peace, with the aim of promoting a dialogue process in the country. The public channel Venezuelan Television (VTV) broadcast the meeting, which was also attended by the President of the National Assembly, Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, although the discussions could not be heard. Rodríguez Zapatero, who has acted as a mediator in the negotiations between the Government and the opposition in Venezuela, is set to conclude his visit on Saturday, according to opposition deputy Timoteo Zambrano, who met with him during the day.
