Havana, (EFE).- This Friday, the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, announced that the Government of the island anticipates the arrival of representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from the U.S. to collaborate in the investigation concerning the incident involving the vessel that arrived from the U.S., in which five individuals have died. «Information about the events was provided to the U.S. side, which has expressed its interest in collaborating to clarify the facts. We are awaiting a possible visit from the FBI to contribute to the investigation and continue in this case,» he commented during a television appearance. Díaz-Canel described the events as «an armed incursion with terrorist objectives, backed and planned from the territory of the United States.» The president declared that it was an attempt of aggression and highlighted that the ten members of the crew of the vessel that entered Cuban territorial waters were «armed,» which contradicts the narrative they have propagated that their intention was to seek their families. «Do they think we are naïve or that an entire community can be deceived with falsehoods and tricks, when their true intentions were to attack military installations and community centres?» Díaz-Canel questioned.
