Employment in Spain declines in January with 270,782 fewer affiliated, the largest drop since 2012.

Madrid (EFE). In January, the labour market experienced a decrease of 270,782 affiliates, the largest drop for this month since 2012, while the number of unemployed rose by 30,392, reaching a total of 2.43 million people without employment. According to information provided on Tuesday by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, the decline in employment this January has been influenced by a challenging environment. With this decrease, the total number of employed individuals stands at 21.57 million.
