The feminist movement is organising demonstrations in various cities across Spain to commemorate 8M, International Women’s Day. Calls for action will be carried out in several cities due to differences among feminists regarding prostitution and the trans law. All marches share demands for equality and an end to gender violence. Cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Seville, Cádiz, and Logroño will have various demonstrations. In Vitoria, San Sebastián, Santander, Granada, and Pamplona, there will be a single call. In Zaragoza, the demonstrations will converge in Plaza del Pilar. In Valladolid, a call will be organised by the Women’s Coordinator, with the attendance of the Minister for Equality, Ana Redondo. This year, the slogans reflect migration policies, military conflicts, and systems that oppress women and girls, focusing on the protection of women who report abuses.
