Forty dead and 115 injured, most of them seriously, confirms the police following the fire in Switzerland.

A fire in a bar in Crans Montana has left «dozens dead» and around a hundred injured, most of them in serious condition, according to the Valais Cantonal Police. The cantonal authorities provided the first information about this tragedy, which occurred in an establishment frequented by young people from the area, situated between ski resorts in Switzerland. “We have recorded around a hundred people injured, many in serious condition, as well as several dozen who have lost their lives,” stated Frederic Gisler, commander of the Valais Cantonal Police. “Our priority is forensic medicine, which will assist us in identifying the deceased,” remarked Beatrice Pilloud, Attorney General of the canton of Valais.
