Galicia has been classified as being on red alert due to the risk of waves that could reach 9 metres, and on yellow alert for winds, rain, and snow. This situation affects thirteen other communities. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the territories on orange alert are Andalusia, Asturias, Cantabria, and Melilla, while Castilla-La Mancha and the Basque Country are on yellow alert. Eight other communities are at yellow level: Aragon, Madrid, Castile and León, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, Extremadura, the Valencia Community, and Murcia. This Friday, the Atlantic circulation will continue over the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with the advance of fronts and the arrival of polar maritime air from the north.
