This Sunday, hundreds of people gathered in Madrid to demand the approval of the «social shield», which is being discussed this week in Congress. This set of measures includes the halting of evictions of families in vulnerable situations without alternative housing until 31 December 2026. On Thursday, the plenary session will hold a vote on the decree-law that extends the suspension of evictions for families in vulnerable situations, as well as other initiatives related to the «social shield» and fiscal and business matters. This measure is expected to be rejected by the majority formed by the PP, Vox, and Junts.
