Rescue teams in Indonesia have resumed efforts to find the three Spaniards who disappeared following the sinking of a tourist boat in the eastern region of the country. Several boats departed from the port of Labuan Bajo, where some activities are coordinated. This marks the seventh day of search operations, complying with the minimum legal timeframe established by Indonesian legislation. Authorities reported that they will make a decision regarding the possibility of «extending» the mission after assessing today’s results. In a meeting at the operations centre, they mentioned that they «hope» to prolong the duration of the operation, although they did not specify how many more days, as they are still sending resources to the search area. The group deployed today includes a team of four volunteer professional divers: two from Spain, one from Argentina, and one from France. They are aboard a speedboat equipped with sonar, which arrived from Jakarta. This vessel will explore a section of the seabed, and if any debris is found, the divers will submerge to conduct verification.
