Iran admits it lost contact with a drone after the US shot one down.

Iran has acknowledged that it has lost communication with a Shahed-129 drone in international waters, after completing its task of gathering information on military activities near the Islamic Republic, and following the announcement from the United States about the destruction of an Iranian drone. The Tasnim agency reported that a drone from the Revolutionary Guard managed to send information back to its base, but communication was subsequently interrupted. According to this source, the Shahed-129 drone was conducting reconnaissance and surveillance of international waters, and the reason behind the device’s disconnection is currently under investigation. The Fars agency noted that the drone’s objective was to monitor military activities in the waters near the Islamic Republic and transmit the information to its base on land.
