Iran and the United States are negotiating indirectly over the Iranian nuclear programme in Oman.

Tehran.- This Friday, Iran and the United States are holding indirect negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear programme, with distant positions and under the threat of military intervention from the United States, which has deployed an aircraft carrier near Iranian waters. The Foreign Minister of Oman, Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, met with his Iranian counterpart, Abas Araqchi, as well as with the White House Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner in Muscat. According to the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these meetings aimed to establish an environment to restart diplomatic negotiations. Araqchi presented to his Omani counterpart a proposal designed by Tehran to address the situation between Iran and the United States, which was communicated to Witkoff in a subsequent meeting with Busaidi. After the meeting with the American, Busaidi initiated a new meeting with Araqchi, according to reports from Iranian state television and the IRNA news agency.
