Iran asks Trump to refrain from repeating a military attack and to seek a diplomatic solution.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, directed a message to the US President, Donald Trump, urging him not to repeat the mistake he made in June 2025 by bombing nuclear facilities in Tehran, and emphasised the importance of seeking diplomatic solutions. In an interview with Fox News, Araghchi expressed that his warning to Trump is that if he takes similar action, he will achieve the same results, as, in his view, technology cannot be bombed, and neither can determination. The minister then stated that his nation has shown its willingness to negotiate, but that it was the United States that sidelined diplomacy and chose war, and he is calling for the resumption of negotiations. Araghchi emphasised that Iran remains committed to not developing nuclear weapons, although he underscored that he is not willing to forgo uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes, considering it a right under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
