Iran says it is ready for a «very long war» and indicates that it has not yet used its «most effective weapons».

The Iranian government claimed that they are ready for a prolonged conflict, suggesting that they have not deployed their most powerful weapons. The spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Defence, General Reza Talaei Nik, stated that it would be unwise to employ their most powerful weapons from the outset. According to the Ministry of Defence, their tactical abilities and the strength of their armaments will incapacitate the adversary and lead to a stalemate in the coming days, while the other side has a limited arsenal. Furthermore, he emphasised that they have the capability to continue their operations and endure for longer than the time the United States and Israel estimate the conflict will last. Iran declared that it has no plans to engage in negotiations while attacks by Israel and the United States continue, and that they are currently in a defensive posture. The Iranian ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Ali Bahreini, stated that there has been no outreach to the President of the United States nor any contact whatsoever, and that the only possible form of communication with the United States at this time is through defence.
