General Aziz Nafizardeh, Iran’s Minister of Defence, warned that his country will carry out attacks against American facilities in the region if the United States initiates an offensive. «Iran will respond by attacking American bases if it suffers an attack,» the minister stated, according to the Mehr news agency. The military official indicated that «all American installations and military bases of other nations in the region that cooperate with the United States in attacks against Iran will be seen as targets.» He also emphasised that «Iran’s reaction will be severe for its adversaries» in the event of an attack.
