Jerusalem. This Sunday, Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, announced that he has ordered fighter planes to destroy all the bridges crossing the Litani River in Lebanon, which would isolate an area in the south of the country from the rest of Lebanese territory. Katz stated that he has instructed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to destroy all bridges over the Litani River that are used for terrorist activities, aiming to block the movement of terrorists and Hezbollah weaponry into the south. Furthermore, Israel has ordered the acceleration of demolitions of houses in villages in southern Lebanon that could pose a danger to Israeli communities.
