Jerusalem. This Sunday, the Israeli army announced that its air force eliminated the Iranian supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, in airstrikes that marked the beginning of a new war against Iran, with mediation from the United States. The army explained that Ali Khamenei was the target of an operation carried out by the Israeli Air Force, based on information from the IDF, while he was at his command centre in Tehran, accompanied by other commanders. According to the army, in one minute of the first attack of Operation «Lion’s Roar», 40 Iranian commanders and officials were eliminated, including the chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, General Abdorrahim Mousavi, and the Iranian Defence Minister, Aziz Nasirzadeh. Furthermore, the IDF succeeded in eliminating 7 members of the Iranian security leadership in Tehran, as well as 40 commanders.
Israel claims responsibility for the death of Jamenei and other 40 high-ranking officials in a «precision operation» by its Air Force.
