Israel claims to have attacked 320 Hizbulá targets, 80 in the last day.

The Israeli army announced that it has carried out attacks against 320 targets it considers to belong to the Hizbollah group, of which 80 were carried out in the last 24 hours, according to military spokesman Effie Defrin at a press conference. This Wednesday, the Israeli army urged residents of southern Lebanon to leave their homes and move «immediately» north of the Litani River, warning that it plans to carry out bombings in southern areas as part of the escalation of hostilities against Hizbollah and in the context of the conflict with Iran. So far, the Lebanese government has reported that 84,000 people have been displaced, although Defrin raised that figure to 300,000 without providing the source of his data. Israeli military forces claim to have captured «less than ten» positions on the Lebanese side of the border, with a depth of «hundreds» of metres into the neighbouring country, arguing that this is part of creating a defensive line for communities in northern Israel. However, the positions taken add to the five that Israel already controls in southern Lebanon, despite the withdrawal agreed upon in the ceasefire that has been in effect since November 2024, and it has not provided information on how long it will retain them. «We are reinforcing the security of the settlements in northern Israel and have deployed forces along the border,» added Defrin.
