This Tuesday, the Israeli Defence Minister, Israel Katz, stated that Israel will exercise control over southern Lebanon «up to the Litani River,» which represents approximately 8% of the territory of this country. Katz explained that the Israel Defence Forces will create a security zone in Lebanon and take control of security throughout the region up to the Litani.
