Córdoba (EFE).- The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, highlighted on Saturday the economic impact that the stormy weather will have on the region. He indicated that he will request assistance from the State Contingency Fund and the EU Solidarity Fund. During a press conference in Córdoba, the Andalusian president mentioned that it is necessary to seek resources immediately due to expected losses in the productive system and infrastructure of the community, estimating that losses in the regional road network alone could reach around 500 million euros. He also announced that this year’s community budget will be affected in order to address this disaster and that he will request the reprogramming and flexibility of European funds to allocate them to assist those affected by the rains, which have forced the evacuation of 11,000 people in the region.
