This Monday, former minister Jordi Sevilla presented a proposal to reform the PSOE, called Social Democracy 21. This initiative is based on a manifesto and seeks to establish itself as a current within the membership, although it has not managed to attract significant support. Some dissenting voices within the party have pointed out that they have not endorsed the manifesto and have expressed their openness to such internal proposals. Jordi Sevilla has unveiled the document in which he calls for a revitalisation of social democracy in Spain, both within and outside of the PSOE. In it, he advocates for the idea of «a united Spain» and criticises «momentary tactical considerations,» referring to agreements with the independents.
Limited internal echo in the PSOE on the first day of Jordi Sevilla’s reformist initiative.
