Paris.- On Thursday, the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, announced that in the coming days his country will send ground, air and naval resources to Greenland, which will join the approximately fifteen soldiers who arrived today to be part of the European mission in response to the threats from the US President, Donald Trump. Macron, who delivered a speech to the Armed Forces at the Istres base, emphasised that France’s role is to support a sovereign state, referring to Denmark. “Europeans have a special obligation” in Greenland, as it is a territory of a member country of the European Union and a NATO ally.
