Mérida. The acting president of Extremadura, María Guardiola, is preparing for her second attempt to be appointed leader of the regional Government, despite the rejection from Vox, according to sources from the PP. The Vox representative in the Assembly of Extremadura, Óscar Fernández Calle, has announced that his party will vote against the election of the Popular Party candidate, María Guardiola, as president of the regional Government this Friday. Sources from the Popular Party reported that Vox had indicated they would not support Guardiola this Friday. The abstention from Santiago Abascal’s party is sufficient for her to be invested, following the failed attempt on Wednesday. During his speech in the second investiture debate this week, Fernández Calle announced that his group would vote against due to the lack of an agreement at this time.
