Mérida.- María Guardiola, the PP candidate for the Presidency of the Junta de Extremadura, stated on Tuesday that she is standing for investiture «out of conviction» and «commitment». She mentioned that there are no incompatibilities «nor walls» between the two. During her speech on the first day of the investiture, which she attends without the necessary support to be elected as president of the Junta tomorrow, Guardiola emphasised the joint initiatives undertaken by the PP and Vox when they governed together. She expressed her frustration with the «obstacles», the «justifications», and the lost time, and declared that she is running for investiture with the aim of providing stability and reaching agreements. The Popular Party candidate pointed out that political debate causes stagnation in the future of citizens, who yearn for «our agreements and actions». «We are not here for Pedro Sánchez, Santiago Abascal, Ione Belarra or Alberto Núñez Feijóo, but for the women and men of Extremadura,» she affirmed. Guardiola reminded that she took on the presidency of the Junta de Extremadura with the support of Vox, a support that she currently does not have, but she believes that «nobody can deny» that together they implemented effective measures.
María Guardiola tells Vox that they are not incompatible «nor are there walls» between them.
