This Wednesday, the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, stated that his department was not aware until yesterday of the reported incidents related to an alleged sexual assault committed by the second-in-command of the Police, José Ángel González. The minister declared that, had he had prior knowledge of the situation, he would have requested his resignation.
