This Sunday, the impacts of storm Ingrid are evident, with a warning map placing Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, and the Basque Country on red alert due to the risk of maritime phenomena, with waves potentially reaching over 10 metres in height. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), a combined sea from the west or northwest is anticipated in the northwest, west, and southwest of A Coruña, as well as in A Mariña in Lugo, and along the coasts of Asturias, Cantabria, Guipúzcoa, and Bizkaia, with waves ranging from 8 to 10 metres. A westward wind is expected, with speeds of 62 to 74 kilometres per hour, which could at times reach between 75 and 88 kilometres per hour. Aemet warns that it is dangerous to approach the shore, as the sea may cause damage to promenades and nearby areas.
