More than 40 civilians killed and 100 injured in the war between Pakistan and Afghanistan, according to the UN.

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan reported that the increase in violence between Afghanistan and Pakistan has resulted in at least 42 deaths and 104 injuries in Afghan territory since 26 February, including women and children. These numbers are provisional and reflect a pattern of harm impacting the civilian population. Civilian casualties include those resulting from indirect fire during clashes along the border, which affected residential areas in the Afghan provinces of Paktya, Paktika, Nangarhar, Kunar, and Khost, as well as those occurring from bombings in the provinces of Paktika and Nangarhar. The situation of violence has led to mass displacement, with the UN estimating that around 16,400 households have had to leave their communities in the areas affected by the clashes.
