Seville (EFE).- This Wednesday, Storm Leonardo has led to the suspension of in-person classes in Andalusia, except for Almería. An evacuation of 3,000 people has taken place in the provinces of Cádiz, Jaén, and Málaga, and the AP-4 motorway between Cádiz and Seville, near Jerez de la Frontera, has been closed. The High-Speed train service between Málaga and Antequera is suspended due to a landslide in Álora. In Cádiz, under red alert, firefighters have carried out 40 interventions overnight due to problems caused by the rain, although none have been significant according to the provincial consortium. These 40 emergencies are in addition to the 80 that firefighters had to handle in the province yesterday. Most of the incidents that occurred overnight were reported in Ubrique, Jerez, El Puerto de Santa María, and Algeciras. In Grazalema, under red alert from AEMET, 180 litres of water per square metre have accumulated in the first six and a half hours of this Wednesday, although no incidents have been reported. Around four in the morning, firefighters intervened in two commercial premises in the village.
No classes in Andalusia, 3,000 evacuated and closure of the Sevilla-Cádiz motorway.
