Lisbon. This Sunday, voting commenced for the second round of the presidential elections in Portugal, where former minister António José Seguro faces leader André Ventura. The polling stations on the mainland of Portugal and in Madeira began operating at 08:00 local time and will close at 19:00. In the Azores, they will open an hour later. More than eleven million Portuguese citizens are called to vote to select the new president who will replace Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who cannot run for office again.
