The Railway Accident Investigation Commission has determined that the marks found on the wheels of the Iryo that derailed, as well as the deformation on the rail, are consistent with the possibility that the rail was broken. The statement issued by the commission investigating the causes of the railway accident in Adamuz, which resulted in the death of 45 people, emphasises that it can be assumed that the rail fracture occurred before the Iryo train that suffered the accident passed, and therefore, before the derailment. This assumption will need to be confirmed through calculations and analysis in the future.
