Madrid (EFE).- This Friday, the U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, held a phone conversation with the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares. During the discussion, they talked about the importance of ensuring a power transition in Venezuela and also exchanged views on U.S. anti-narcotics operations in the Caribbean, according to the U.S. State Department. The conversation between Rubio and Albares comes after a week of diplomatic efforts focused on Venezuela, which has led the White House to establish communication with the main G7 countries and others in Latin America, such as Argentina and Paraguay.
Rubio and Albares discuss an «appropriate and sensible» transition of power in Venezuela.
