It was not part of Norway nor Denmark.» «This is a colonial conquest,» he asserted during his press conference. He recalled that the island was a colony of Norway from the 13th century and of Denmark from the 19th century, and that «only in the mid-20th century was an agreement signed that incorporated it into Denmark, but not as a colony.» «Another question is that the residents of Greenland have adapted or feel comfortable today,» he added.
