Russia warns that it will consider the deployment of foreign troops to Ukraine a «direct threat.»

Moscow (EFE).- Today, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the statement of intent signed last Tuesday by the United Kingdom and France regarding the deployment of troops in Ukraine, warning that this will be perceived as external intervention that poses a risk to Russia and Europe. The spokesperson for Russian diplomacy, Maria Zakharova, stated in a communiqué that the presence of units, military facilities, warehouses, or other western infrastructures on Ukrainian territory will be regarded as foreign intervention, which represents a threat to Russia and other European countries. The Russian diplomat warned that «all these units and facilities will be considered legitimate targets for the Armed Forces of Russia.» She also mentioned that «these warnings have been communicated on multiple occasions at the highest levels and remain relevant.»
