Sánchez announces that the crisis plan will mobilise 5 billion euros.

Madrid (EFE).- This Friday, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced that the Crisis Response Plan for the Middle East will allocate 5 billion euros to protect citizens, support small and medium-sized enterprises, the primary sector, and industry. Sánchez held a press conference after the Council of Ministers meeting, where a set of measures was approved to mitigate the effects of the war in the Middle East. The appearance was delayed because the Sumar ministers refused to participate in the meeting unless measures related to housing were included. The Government has decided to approve two royal decree laws: one related to housing and another of a general nature, which includes a reduction in energy taxes. The project includes, among other actions, a reduction in VAT on fuels to the minimum allowed by the European Union, which is 10%. This will allow consumers to save up to 30 cents per litre, translating to approximately 20 euros of savings per tank in an average car.
