Sánchez condemns the attacks by Iran on Israel, Cyprus and several Gulf countries.

The head of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has condemned the attacks that Iran has carried out against Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, and Oman. In a post on his social media, Sánchez expresses: «We reject all attacks aimed at the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and other nations in the region.» Iran has carried out bombings in these countries in reaction to attacks by the United States and Israel, in an increase of confrontation that has also affected Lebanon. Sánchez highlighted in his statement that «we also reject the launch of missiles by Hezbollah and the attack by Israel on Lebanon.» «Violence begets more violence.» The explosions impact military facilities, streets, airports, schools, and homes. It is urgent to put an end to this escalation and return to a diplomatic approach based on dialogue,» states the Prime Minister.
