Sánchez hopes that González will vote for the PSOE but considers it unlikely as he will run for office again.

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has stated that it is not surprising that Felipe González declares he will not vote for him, as he has not supported any actions of his administration for years. Furthermore, he expressed his hope that González will return to vote for the PSOE, although he noted that he sees this as unlikely because González himself will stand for election again. Sánchez made these statements at a press conference in New Delhi during his trip to India, in response to González’s comments, who indicated that he would vote blank in the upcoming general elections if the current president runs again. Regarding his relationship with the former president and mentioning the greeting they exchanged on Tuesday in Congress, Sánchez rejected that description and deemed it normal. He also recalled that González has held that opinion about him for years, which led him to question where the news is.
