The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, is following the news and the progress of the emergency response efforts following a Rodalies train accident in Gelida (Barcelona), which has resulted in the death of a train driver and nearly forty people injured, four of whom are in serious condition. The head of the Government has expressed his support for the victims and their families on his official account on the social network X. Four individuals suffered injuries and another 33 have required medical attention after an accident in which a retaining wall collapsed onto a train on the R4 line, between Gelida and Sant Sadurní d’Anoia (Barcelona). The train driver has passed away. The wall collapsed onto the first carriage of the commuter train, which has been damaged. Most of the affected passengers were in that carriage.
