The Norwegian film ‘Sentimental Value’, directed by Joachim Trier, won the BAFTA award for Best Film Not in the English Language at the ceremony held this Sunday in London, surpassing the Spanish film ‘Sirat’, by filmmaker Óliver Laxe, which was also nominated in the same category. Trier’s film took home the golden mask, leaving behind Laxe’s ‘Sirat’, as well as the Brazilian film ‘The Secret Agent’ by Kleber Mendonça Filho, the Iranian film ‘It Was Just an Accident’ by Jafar Panahi, and ‘The Voice of Hind Rajab’ by the Tunisian Kaouther Ben Hania.
