Madrid (EFE). Galicia is under orange alert for waves of 6 metres, rain, and winds. Four communities are on yellow alert due to adverse conditions, including Madrid, which is facing snowfall. Asturias is on yellow alert for wind and bad maritime weather; Cantabria, Navarra, and the Basque Country for wind; and the Community of Madrid for snowfall exceeding 5 centimetres in 24 hours from altitudes of 1,000-1,200 metres in Somosierra. There are also yellow alerts for the Balearic Islands due to fog and for Catalonia for cold in the Pyrenees.
