Spain proposes measures to promote succession in the countryside: mobilising 10,000 rural estates and allocating 10% of CAP funding.

The head of government, Pedro Sánchez, has presented initiatives to facilitate generational change in the agricultural sector. This includes the mobilization of 10,000 rural properties for young people, women, and new professionals in the agricultural field, as well as a proposal to the EU that 10% of the funds allocated to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for the period 2028-2034 be assigned to this objective. After meeting with young farmers, Sánchez announced initiatives to improve access to agricultural activities during an event in San Fernando de Henares, accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, Luis Planas.
