In 2025, Spain’s trade deficit grew by 41.6%, reaching €57.054 billion, driven by an increase in imports compared to the previous year. According to the report from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, goods exports reached €387.092 billion, with an increase of 0.7% compared to 2024. On the other hand, imports totalled €444.146 billion, with an increase of 4.6%. In 2025, the sectors that drove the increase in exports were equipment, the food industry, beverages and tobacco, as well as chemical products.
