Sumar invites its refoundation to forces like Podemos: No one is unnecessary who does not self-exclude.

This Saturday, the four parties of Sumar in the Government confirmed their intention to present themselves united in the upcoming general elections with a new political project, to which they have extended an invitation to other parties such as Podemos. At the ceremony for the reconstitution of the Sumar coalition, Lara Hernández, the leader of Movimiento Sumar, stated that this event marks the beginning of a left-wing alliance that is open to all political forces. «There is no one who is surplus to requirements, unless they exclude themselves.» Therefore, citizens do not expect us to be identical, but rather to advance together,» she commented, referring to formations like Podemos, although the purple party has stated that they do not wish to form a coalition with Sumar again. The event was not attended by the second deputy prime minister and leader of Sumar in the coalition government, Yolanda Díaz; it was also attended by the leader of IU, Antonio Maíllo; the Minister of Health and spokesperson for Más Madrid, Mónica García; and the Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, who represents the commons.
