Madrid (EFE).- Ten autonomous communities are on alert due to weather conditions such as storms, rainfall, winds, snowfall, and avalanches. Balearic Islands, Catalonia, Galicia, Valencian Community and Melilla are at orange level due to these climatic situations. An orange alert has been issued for maritime conditions along the northern Mediterranean coast up to Alicante, as well as in much of the Balearic Islands, Galicia, and Melilla. Catalonia and the Valencian Community are also under orange alert for rough seas. School and sports activities have been cancelled in the regions of Gironès, Selva, and Alt and Baix Empordà in Catalonia due to heavy rain and potential river flooding. Civil Protection has sent an alert message to the citizens’ mobile phones. We are monitoring the increase in the flow of rivers and streams. Attention should be paid to the regions of Girona, especially Gironès, Selva, and Baix Empordà. We recommend being cautious and following the guidance of #CivilProtection.
