The chief advisor to Starmer resigns over the appointment of Mandelson as ambassador to the United States.

Morgan McSweeney, adviser to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, resigned this Sunday due to his involvement in the appointment of Peter Mandelson as ambassador to the United States. Mandelson was dismissed in September because of his connections with Jeffrey Epstein. McSweeney stated that Mandelson’s selection was a mistake and that it has harmed the party and politics. He took responsibility for the recommendation of the appointment and expressed his support for the Prime Minister, who is working to regain trust and serve the United Kingdom.
