The Chinese chancellor says that the war in Iran «should not have broken out» and calls for a ceasefire.

Beijing.- This Sunday, the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, declared that the conflict in Iran «should never have begun» and called for an «immediate halt to military actions to prevent escalation and the spread of war.» Wang stated that «respect for national sovereignty is fundamental to the current international order» and that «the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Iran and other countries in the Gulf region must be respected and kept intact.» The minister asserted that «the excessive use of force is intolerable» and added that «the world must not return to a state of anarchy.»
